Belarus’ GDP up 2.5% in Jan-Apr 2021 to Br50.6bn

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Belarus grew by 2.5% year on year in January-April 2021 to Br50.6 billion ($20.067 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (NBB) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> Industrial output was up 11% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to Br46.27 billion ($18.35bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> Farm output decreased by 0.3% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to Br4.446bn ($1.763bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ GDP declined by 0.9% year on year in 2020 to Br147.006 billion ($56.28bn), the official growth forecast being 2.8%. Farm output decreased by 0.3% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to Br4.446bn ($1.763bn).
