Belarus’ GDP down 1.3% in Jan-Sep 2020 to Br106.584bn

Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 1.3% year on year in January-September 2020 to Br106.584 billion ($41.376bn at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Industrial output was down 1.8% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to Br83.092 billion ($32.256bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> Farm output grew by 4.9% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to Br16.713 billion ($6.49bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2019, Belarus’ GDP grew by 1.2% from 2018 to Br131.952 billion ($51.224bn), the official growth forecast being 4%.
