Belarus’ GDP down 1.1% in Jan-Oct to Br121.416bn
<p> MINSK, Nov 16 - PrimePress. Gross domestic product of Belarus declined in January-October 2020 by 1.1% year on year to Br121.416 billion ($47.3 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (NBB) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> Industrial output was down 1.2% year on year in Jan-Oct 2020 to Br94.132 billion ($36.7bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> Farm output increased in Jan-Oct 2020 by 6.7% yoy to Br16.928bn ($6.6bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ GDP grew by 1.2% yoy in 2019 to Br131.952 billion ($51.41bn), the official growth forecast being 4%. Industrial output was up 1% to Br113.493 billion ($44.2bn); farm output – up 2.9% to Br20.859 billion ($8.1bn). The Belarusian authorities expect 2.8% GDP growth in 2020. End (Br2.5668/$1) </p>
