Belarus food industry enterprises cut output of whole-milk products by 1.8% in January-August to 1.394m tonnes

Belarus food industry enterprises reduced output of whole-milk products (in terms of milk) by 1.8% year on year in January-August 2021, down to 1.394m tonnes, according to the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat). </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of low-fat dairy products (recalculated as skimmed milk) fell by 19.9% on January-August 2021 to 37.2 thousand tons, butter - by 1.7% to 79.1 thousand tons, cheese (except processed cheese) - increased by 4.4% to 182.6 thousand tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of milk powder and cream increased by 2.6% to 115.1 thousand tonnes, while production of condensed milk and cream declined by 12.1% to 48.4 thousand tonnes.
