Belarus’ farm product and food exports up 6.1% in Jan-Sep 2020 to $4.2bn

Belarus increased exports of farm products and foods in January-September 2020 by 6.1% year on year to $4.2 billion, head of the Agriculture Ministry’s Foreign Trade Department Alexei Bogdanov told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of meat and meat products increased in Jan-Sep 2020 by 12.1% to $739.8 million; milk and dairy products – by 5.7% to $1.81 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports to CIS countries (except Russia) were up 2.9% to $508.8 million. Exports to Russia were down 2.4% to $3.15 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports to outside the CIS increased by 47% in Jan-Sep 2020 to $569 million. Exports to China were up 130%% to $187.2 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Jan-Sep 2020, Belarus supplied farm products and foods to 105 countries (93 in Jan-Sep 2019). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus intends to increase exports of farm products and foods in 2020 by 4.2% to $5.729 billion.
