Belarus’ export revenues down 13.7% in Jan-Oct 2020 to $29.982bn

Belarus’ foreign exchange revenues from exports of goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 13.7% year on year in January-October 2020 to $29.982 billion, reads a statistical report released by the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> In October 2020 alone, foreign exchange revenues amounted to $3.45 billion, up 1.6% month on month, down 6.4% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from commodity exports reduced by 15.7% year on year in Jan-Oct 2020 to $22.09 billion, export of services – down 7% to $7.178 billion, incomes – down 12.4% to $220.1 million, other transfers – down 10.3% to $494 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported goods and services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 9.4% year on year in Jan-Oct 2020 to $29.733 billion. In October 2020 alone, payments for imported goods and services and non-financial transfers amounted to $3.379 billion, up 12.5% month on month, down 1% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported of goods decreased 13.1% year on year to $24.011 billion, payments for imported services – up 6.7% to $3.984 billion, payments of incomes – up 21.6% to $1.152 billion; transfers – up 9.1% to $585.1 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus produced a surplus of foreign trade payments for goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households in Jan-Oct 2020 in the amount of $249 million to compare with a $1.891 billion surplus in Jan-Oct 2019.
