Belarus’ export revenues down 11.9% in Jan-Nov 2020 to $33.322bn

Belarus’ foreign exchange revenues from exports of goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 11.9% year on year in January-November 2020 to $33.322 billion, reads a statistical report released by the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> In November 2020 alone, foreign exchange revenues amounted to $3.34 billion, down 3.25% month on month, up 7.7% to compare with November 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from commodity exports reduced by 13.3% year on year in Jan-Nov 2020 to $24.688 billion, export of services – down 7.4% to $7.854 billion, incomes – down 12.4% to $240.6 million, other transfers – down 9.5% to $538.7 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported goods and services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 9.2% year on year in Jan-Nov 2020 to $32.773 billion. In November 2020 alone, payments for imported goods and services and non-financial transfers amounted to $3.04 billion, down 10% month on month, down 6.5% to compare with Nov 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported of goods decreased 12.5% year on year to $26.516 billion, payments for imported services – up 6.2% to $4.405 billion, payments of incomes – up 15.8% to $1.227 billion; transfers – up 6.5% to $625.1 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus produced a surplus of foreign trade payments for goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households in Jan-Nov 2020 in the amount of $0.549 billion to compare with a $1.743 billion surplus in Jan-Nov 2019.
