Belarus’ export of fresh and chilled beef up 7.7% in Jan-Jun 2020 to $146.262m

Belarus increased the export of fresh and chilled beef in January-May 2020 by 7.7% year on year to $146.262 million, says the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat). </p> <p> </p> <p> In physical terms, the export increased in Jan-Jun 2020 by 7.3% to 41,426 tonnes. Supplies to Russia amounted to 24,025 tonnes (down 26.2% yoy) worth $90.764 million (down 23.7%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of meat and edible offal of poultry in Jan-Jun 2020 totaled 98,845 tonnes (up 19.2%) worth $153.736 million (up 19.8%). Russia accounted for 67,111 tonnes (down 0.1%) worth $92.783 million (down 12.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of frozen beef in Jan-Jun 2020 amounted to 30,360 tonnes (up 31.7% yoy) worth $107.328 million (up 34.9%). Supplies to Russia totaled 20,685 tonnes (up 11.6%) worth $74.469 million (up 13.6%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of sausages and similar meat products in physical terms increased in Jan-Jun 2020 by 7.6% to 14,987 tonnes; in monetary terms – up 1.8% to $42.303 million.
