Belarus expands list of timber products sold for export through exchange trading - decree

The list of wood products, which Belarusian companies can export only via the exchange trade mechanism of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has been enlarged, in accordance with President Lukashenko’s Decree #5 of 12 October 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The document was published on the National Legal Portal on 13 October. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the decree, the list includes timber and timber products (hereinafter - sawn wood) produced by sawing or sawing along, planing or peeling, untreated or processed by planing, sanding, with or without end joints, more than 6 mm thick (EEU FEACN code 4407). </p> <p> </p> <p> These products include sawn timber, planks, slabs, boards, laths, etc., as well as products that are considered to be equivalent to sawn timber or timber obtained by processing on chipping machines and that have very precise dimensions. It also includes sheets of wood obtained by planing or peeling (on a rotary slicer), as well as wood blocks, strips and fascia for flooring, except those which have been profiled on any of the edges, ends or planes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Also included in the list of such products is wood in the form of chips or shavings (EEU FEACN codes 4401 21 000 0 and 4401 22 000 0).
