Belarus’ electricity export to Ukraine up 64% in Jan-Sep 2020 to 154m kWh

Belarus increased the export of electric energy to Ukraine by 64% year on year in January-September 2020 to 154 million kWh, according to official statistical reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, Belarus’ proceeds from the electricity export to Ukraine grew by 65% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to $7.74 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of Belarus’ electric energy exported to Ukraine reduced by 2.6% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to $50,264 per 1,000 kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Jan-Sep 2020, Belarus also supplied electric energy to Lithuania and small amounts to Latvia and Estonia. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus boosted the electricity export to Ukraine in 2019 by 616% year on year to 852.8 million kWh. In monetary terms, the export to Ukraine increased by 574% to $45.609 million. The average price for Ukraine in 2019 decreased by 6.2% year on year to $53.48 per 1 million kWh. End </p>
