Belarus’ electric energy export to Ukraine decreased by 38.7% year on year in Jan-Aug 2020 to 153.9 million kWh, according to official statistical reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In value terms, Belarus’ proceeds from the electricity export to Ukraine reduced by 40.6% year on year in Jan-Aug 2020 to $7.734 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of Belarus’ electric energy exported to Ukraine reduced by 3.2% year on year in Jan-Aug 2020 to $30.268 per 1,000 kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-August 2020, Belarus exported electric energy mainly to Lithuania and Ukraine, and small amounts to Latvia and Estonia </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased the export of electric energy to Ukraine 716 times year on year in 2019 to 852.8 million kWh, according to official statistical reports. In value terms, Belarus’ proceeds from the electricity export to Ukraine grew by 674 times year on year in 2019 to $45.609 million. The average price of Belarus’ electric energy exported to Ukraine reduced by 6.2% year on year in 2019 to $53.480 per million kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> In total, Belarus exported 2.370 billion kWh of electric energy in 2019 (up 127% year on year) worth $123.563 million (up 126%).
