Belarus’ electricity export to Lithuania down 37.1% in Jan-Sep 2020 to 435.6m kWh

Belarus reduced the export of electric energy to Lithuania in January-September 2020 by 37.1% year on year to 435.6 million kWh, according to the official statistics. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, Belarus reduced the electricity export to Lithuania in Jan-Sep 2020 by 37.1% on the year to $23.107 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of electric energy exported to Lithuania in Jan 2020 decreased 11.8% year on year to $49.829 per 1,000 kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Jan-Sep 2020, Belarus also supplied electric energy to Ukraine and small amounts to Latvia and Estonia. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased the export of electricity to Lithuania in 2019 by 45.7% from 2018 to 1.508 billion kWh; in monetary terms – by 42.3% to $77.298 million. The average price of electricity exported from Belarus to Lithuania in 2019 decreased by 2.3% year on year to $51,229 per 1,000 kWh. End </p>
