Belarus’ electricity export to Lithuania down 37.1% in Jan-Oct 2020 to 495.4m kWh

Belarus reduced the export of electric energy to Lithuania in January-October 2020 by 37.1% year on year to 495.4 million kWh, according to the official statistics. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, Belarus reduced the electricity export to Lithuania in Jan-Oct 2020 by 36.3% on the year to $26.323 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of electric energy exported to Lithuania in Jan-Oct 2020 increased by 1.9% year on year to $53.131 per 1,000 kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Jan-Sep 2020, Belarus also supplied electric energy to Ukraine and small amounts to Latvia and Estonia. In Jan-Oct 2020, Belarus exported a total of 651.1 million kWh, down 39% against January-October 2019 worth $34.188 million, down 39% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased the export of electricity to Lithuania in 2019 by 45.7% from 2018 to 1.508 billion kWh; in monetary terms – by 42.3% to $77.298 million.
