Belarus’ diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine up 24% Jul to 238,200 tonnes

State oil exporter Belarusian Oil Company CJSC (BelOil) increased diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine in July 2020 by 24% month on month to 238,200 tonnes, enkorr portal reports citing data of the A-95 Consulting Group. </p> <p> </p> <p> The share of Belarusian diesel fuel supplies in Ukraine’s total diesel import has grown from 35.4% in June 2020 to 42.3% in July 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Enkorr has clarified that such dynamics is associated with an increase in the volume of diesel fuel imports to Ukraine in July by 4% to 563,000 tonnes, as well as with a month-on-month decrease in supplies from Russia - by 8.4% to 208,300 tonnes, including direct supplies by rail, which fell in July to 88,000 tonnes (from 111,500 tonnes in June), supplies through the Belarusian pipeline terminal in Gomel - to 85,400 tonnes (down from 92,000 tonnes in June). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BelOil reduced diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine in January-June 2020 by 24% year on year to 794,000 tonnes. Diesel fuel imported from Belarus accounted for 23.3% of the Ukrainian market in Jan-Jun 2020 (down 9.8pp). </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2019, the average monthly supply of Belarusian diesel fuel to Ukraine exceeded 200,000 tonnes (300,000 during the peak season of August-September). The average monthly supply of Belarusian diesel fuel to Ukraine was expected at 250,000 tonnes in 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC was established in May 2007. Belorusneft owns a 52% stake in the company, Naftan OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC own 24% each. BelOil exports oil products produced by its shareholders, and purchases and refines oil at the Belarusian refineries, having subsidiaries in Poland, Latvia, Great Britain, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
