Belarus’ diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine up 110% in Feb 2021 to 204,300 tonnes

State oil exporter Belarusian Oil Company CJSC (BelOil) increased diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine by 110% year on year in Feb 2021 to 204,300 tonnes, enkorr reports, citing A-95 Consulting Group (Ukraine). </p> <p> </p> <p> This growth is due to both the low comparative base (diesel imports from Belarus dropped significantly in the first quarter of 2020 due to lower supplies of crude to Belarusian refineries), and the current situation on the Ukrainian market. </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, higher imports from Belarus compensated for lower supplies of diesel fuel to Ukraine from Russia in February 2021 - by 40% year on year to 123,300 tonnes. Overall, imports of diesel fuel to Ukraine increased by 1.3% year on year in February 2021 to 394,000 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BelOil reduced diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine by 10.2% year on year in 2020 to 2.22 million tonnes. As a result, the share of Belarusian diesel in the Ukrainian market reduced by 5.4 pp on the year in 2020 to 30%. </p> <p> </p> <p> BelOil-Ukraine LLC was registered in February 2010. The company was founded by the Belarusian Oil Company OJSC. Itis the exclusive exporter of oil products produced by Naftan OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC. End </p>
