Belarus’ Development Bank to increase funding for state programs in 2020 by 1.6% to Br1.768bn

The Belarus Development Bank will increase funding for government programs and activities in 2020 by 1.6% in comparison with the previously approved amount to Br1.768 billion ($691.41 million at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), as per government resolution No.660 of Nov 19, 2020 published on the National Legal Internet Portal on Nov 19. </p> <p> </p> <p> Additional funds in the amount of Br28.3 million ($11.07 million, $1 - Br2.5564) will be used to reconstruct an airfield in Orsha (Vitebsk Oblast) and to finance the state programme for the development of the transport complex of Belarus for 2016-2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> As a result, the Development Bank’s total financing of investment projects at the Minsk National Airport, including the reconstruction of the Orsha airfield, will increase by 15.1% to Br63.23 million ($24.73 million). At the same time, the Development Bank will issue an additional loan in Belarusian rubles for the reconstruction of the Orsha airfield in the amount of Br8.3 million ($3.25 million). The interest rate on this loan will be 7.05% per annum. </p> <p> </p> <p> Lending to the transport complex development programme will increase by 9.5% to Br230 million ($90 million), or Br20 million ($7.82 million).
