Belarus Development Bank’s net profit up 2.6 times in H1 to Br192.051m

Belarus Development Bank increased its net profit by 2.6 times year on year in January-June 2021 up to Br192.051 million ($76.37 million at the National Bank of Belarus rate), according to the data published on the website of the National Bank. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Development Bank increased net interest income by 7.5% yoy in January-June 2021 to Br163.956 million ($65.2 million, $1/Br2.5148). The bank increased the negative value of net commission and fee income by 8% in January-June 2021 to minus Br4.647 million ($1.85m); received a negative net income from foreign exchange operations in the amount of Br2.855 million ($1.135m) compared with a positive value of Br27.579 million ($10.967 million) as of 1 July 2020; reduced the negative value of net income from securities operations by 70.7% to Br2.355 million ($936,460). </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus Development Bank’s total assets decreased by 2.5% year to date to Br11.35 billion ($4.5 billion) as of 1 July 2021: the bank decreased crediting to customers by 1.9% to Br6.829 billion ($2.72 billion); assets in securities - by 8.3% to Br2.774 million ($1.1 million); funds in other banks - down 10.5% to Br836.331 million ($332.56 million); funds in the National Bank of Belarus - reduced by 12.2 times to Br8.028 million ($3.2 million).
