Belorusneft (Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast)–Belarus’ sole producer of crude oil–says its crude output increased by 1.2% year on year in 2020 to 1.710 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Hydraulic extraction increased in 2020 by 8.4% year on year to 280,632 tonnes; extraction from new wells and lateral holes was up 8% to 146,845 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus planned to increase oil output in 2020 by 1.2% against 2019 to 1.7 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration works, oil extraction, gas processing, and offers a wide range of seismic exploration operations. </p> <p> Belorusneft provides oil extraction services in Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Ecuador, facilitates crude supplies to the Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Oblast, and Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast) on a give-and-take basis.
