Belarus’ companies report 0.2% increase in effective debts in Q1 2021 to Br158.729bn

The total debt of Belarusian enterprises amounted to Br158.729 billion ($62.534 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) as of Apr 1, 2021, up 0.2% year to date, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> This includes a 0.8% year-to-date reduction in overdue debt in Q1 2020 to Br10.135bn ($4bn, $1 - Br2.5383) as of Apr 1, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Accounts payable totalled Br63.189 billion ($24.9bn) as of Apr 1, 2021, up 2.8% year to date. Overdue accounts payable amounted to Br7.701 billion ($3.034bn) as of Apr 1, 2021, up 3.5%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Credit and loan debts decreased by 1.4% in Q1 2021 to Br95.54 billion ($37.64bn) as of Apr 1, 2021. Debts in arrears totalled Br2.343 billion ($958.9bn), down 12.2% year to date. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Belstat, Br20.747 billion ($8.17bn, 29.4% of revenue – vs 30% in Q1 2020) was allocated for repayment of bank loans and loans to Belarusian enterprises in 2020, up 17.1% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Accounts receivable of Belarusian enterprises as of Apr 1, 2021 amounted to Br51.147 billion ($20.15bn), up 2% year to date.
