Belarus’ cheese export up 12.4% in January-June to 143,300 tonnes

Belarus increased exports of cheese and cottage cheese in January-June 2021 by 12.4% year on year to 143,300 tons, the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a release. </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of cheese and cottage cheese in monetary terms increased by 8.3% to $556.310 million. Most of the products were delivered to the Russian Federation - 134,200 tons (+11.1% year on year), worth $520.18 million (+7.2%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of butter rose by 5.3% to 43,837 tons, while in monetary terms - by 4.7% to $208.897 million. Belarus delivered 38,288 tons (minus 0.5%) of butter worth $183.006 million (minus 0.7%) to the Russian Federation. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus increased export of fresh or chilled beef in January-June 2021 by 5% year on year to 44,883 tons, worth $159.667 million, up 5.6% year on year.
