Belarus changes pricing procedure for medicines, medical products – ordinance
<p> MINSK, Oct 6 - PrimePress. The procedure for setting prices for medicines and medical products has been changed in Belarus, in accordance with presidential ordinance #383 of 5 October 2021, which amends ordinance #366 of 11 August 2005 “On setting prices for medicine, medical products and medical equipment,” the president’s press-service informed. </p> <p> </p> <p> “In order to increase sales, a lot of manufacturers provide pharmacy chains with financial and commodity discounts, the amount of which is currently not taken into account in price formation. After the amendments come into force, wholesale and trade mark-ups will be applied to the manufacturers’ selling prices (importers’ contract prices) reduced by the amount of such discounts,” the press release reads. </p> <p> </p> <p> In addition, in order to ensure uniform approaches to pricing, non-state pharmacy networks, by analogy with state-run pharmacy networks, have been granted the right to summarize wholesale and trade mark-ups in the formation of retail prices.
