Belarus’ Central Securities Depository signs depository agreement with EDB
<p> MINSK, Mar 23 - PrimePress. Belarus’s state enterprise Republican Central Securities Depository concluded a depository contract March 22, 2021 with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), the depository’s press-service said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Central Securities Depository services correspondent depo accounts of 28 second-tier depositories, more than 20,000 depo accounts of issuers and depositors, including the Ministry of Finance and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. Total volume of securities in centralised safekeeping exceeds Br70 billion (US $26.9 billion at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Belarus). Over 100,000 depositary transactions are performed each year. The Depositary has established correspondent relations with depositaries of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. It is a member of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories, the International Association of National Numbering Agencies, and the Belarusian Association of Securities Market Participants.
