Belarus’ central bank launches web portal for registration of FX contracts

<p> MINSK, Jun 15 - PrimePress. The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) has launched a web-portal for registration of foreign exchange contracts at <a href="https://www.nbrb.by/veb-portal-registracii-valyutnyh-dogovorov">https://www.nbrb.by/veb-portal-registracii-valyutnyh-dogovorov</a>, the National Bank’s press service reports. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Registration of FX contracts on the web portal will take effect from July 9, 2021, when the FX monitoring system of the National Bank is put into operation. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Residents of the Republic of Belarus will have to register on the web portal foreign exchange contracts concluded with non-residents. It is necessary to register contracts, the amount of monetary liabilities at the date of which is not defined or is equal to, or exceeds the equivalent of 2 thousand base units (Br5,800, $2,330 at the rate of National Bank of Belarus) for individuals and 4,000 base units (Br11,600, $4,660, $1 - Br2.4892) for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. </p> <p>   </p> <p> The list of FX transactions, for which an FX agreement shall be registered, is determined by the National Bank’s resolution #37 of February 12, 2021. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Registration of foreign exchange contracts is stipulated by the new version of the Law on Foreign Exchange Regulation and Currency Control, which enters into force on 9 July 2021.
