Belarus cancels “minimum consumer budget” from 15 November - law

The social standard “minimum consumer budget”" will no longer be used in Belarus starting November 15, 2021, says Law #98-Z "On amending laws on social norms and minimum wages” of May 7, 2021, published on the National Legal Internet Portal on May 14. </p> <p> </p> <p> Instead only one social standard will be used - the minimum subsistence budget (MSB). </p> <p> </p> <p> The law has also optimized the list of socio-demographic groups for which the minimum subsistence budget is calculated (the group "students" has been excluded). </p> <p> </p> <p> In addition, the law changes the procedure for setting the minimum monthly wage (MMP).
