Belarus’ BPS-Sberbank officially changes name for Sber Bank
<p> MINSK, Aug 27 - PrimePress. Belarusian BPS-Sberbank has been renamed into Sber Bank. The decision was adopted on June 2, 2021 at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of BPS-Sberbank and approved by the National Bank’s resolution #247 of Aug 27. </p> <p> </p> <p> Officially, BPS-Sberbank is considered renamed from the date of state registration of the amendments and additions to the bank’s Charter at the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BPS-Sberbank is going to conduct a rebranding campaign after its parent bank Russian Sberbank in 2021. Russian Sberbank announced its transformation on 24 September 2020 and presented its new logo and brand. </p> <p> </p> <p> BPS-Sberbank is one of the largest banks in Belarus in terms of assets. More than 95% of active cards in the bank's card portfolio are issued on the basis of its own local processing centre. The main shareholder of BPS-Sberbank is Russia’s Sberbank (98.43%). End </p>
