Belarus’ beer output down 5.2% in Jan-Sep 2020 to 33.641m dal

Belarus’ beer output decreased by 5.2% on the year in Jan-Sep 2020 to 33.641 million decaliters (dal), Belarus’ National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In September alone, beer output was down 13.1% year on year, down 16.5% from August 2020 to 3.327 million dal. </p> <p> </p> <p> Barley malt output stood at 100,800 tonnes in Jan-Sep 2020, up 1.6% year on year. In Septebmenr alone, malt output totaled 12,700 tonnes, up 0.9% year on year, up 8.4% against Aug 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> As of Oct 1, 2020, beer stocks amounted to 2.134 million decaliters (59.2% of average monthly output). Compared with Sep 1, 2020, the stocks increased by 13%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Malt inventories amounted to 14,300 tonnes as of Oct 1, 2020 (147.3% of average monthly output), down 34.8% against Sep 1, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Beer sales increased in Jan-Sep 2020 by 5.2% year on year to 31.643 million dal.
