Belarus-based pharmaceutical manufacturers exempt from VAT, duties on import of equipment
<p> MINSK, Aug 31 - PrimePress. Belarus-based producers of pharmaceutical products will be exempt from the value added tax (VAT) and customs duties on imported equipment used for implementing investment projects, in accordance with presidential ordinance #327 “On the development of pharmaceutical industry” signed on 31 August, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the ordinance, pharmaceutical manufacturers will also be entitled to partial reimbursement for credit interest payments upon the decision of the government. </p> <p> </p> <p> The move aims at increasing the competitiveness of Belarusian pharmaceutical organizations on the market of medicines, the president’s press-service said.
