Belarus’ aviation fuel supplies to Ukraine up 29% yoy in Jan-May 2021 at 10,400 tonnes

Belarus increased aviation fuel supplies to Ukraine by 29% year on year in January-May 2021 at 10,400 tonnes, еnkorr reports, citing Ukrainian A-95 Consulting Group. </p> <p> </p> <p> Earlier, A-95 noted that active imports of Belarusian jet fuel to Ukraine were in question due to the de facto withdrawal of its largest buyer, Baltic Grand Service, from the Ukrainian market. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus shipped to Ukraine 32,400 tonnes of aviation fuel in Jan-May 2021, down 24% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus reduced the supply of aviation fuel to Ukraine in January-December 2020 almost 4-fold compared with January-December 2019 to 18,600 tonnes. </p> <p> At the same time, the total balance of aviation fuel supplies to Ukraine in 2020 decreased by 48% year-on-year to 136,700 tonnes. This market decline was due to the introduction of restrictions on passenger air transportation in Ukraine in March 2020 in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
