Belarus’ associated petroleum gas output up 6.2% in Jan-Sep 2021 to 168m cubic metres

Belarus increased associated petroleum gas production in Jan-Sep 2021 by 6.2% year on year to 168 million cubic metres, reads the official statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Sep 2021, Belorusneft increased associated petroleum gas production by 1.6% year on year to 18.1m cubic metres. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft increased associated petroleum gas production in 2020 by 0.6% year on year to 206.53 million cubic metres. </p> <p> </p> <p> The entire volume of associated gas is being processed at the Belarusian Gas Processing Plant (BGPP, Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast). In 2020, the BGPP increased APG processing by 0.58% year on year to 221.999 million cubic metres; 15.469 million cubic metres of oil gas BGPZ were imported from Russia. Belarus does not have open natural gas fields. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Gas Processing Plant was put into operation in 1976. It processes associated petroleum gas produced in Belarus and imports raw materials. The plant produces liquefied gases, stable gas naphtha, hydrocarbon propellant and stripped gas. The average annual output of processed products stands at about 400,000 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration works, oil extraction, gas processing, and offers a wide range of seismic exploration operations. </p> <p> Belorusneft provides oil extraction services in Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Ecuador, facilitates crude supplies to the Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Oblast, and Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast) on a give-and-take basis.
