Belarus’ agricultural exports up 14.1% in Jan-Oct 2021 $5.4 billion - Ministry of Agriculture
<p> MINSK, Dec 7 - PrimePress. Belarus increased export of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials by 14.1% year on year in January-October 2021 up to $5.4 billion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus informs. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Belarusian foodstuffs were exported to 106 countries of the world in Jan-Oct 2021. Exports to CIS countries, including the Russian Federation, increased by 10.4%, to Asia and Oceania by 33.4%, to the EU by 41.4%, to America and the Caribbean by 56.5% and to Africa by 9.7%. Food exports to the People's Republic of China increased by 32.9%. Overall, shipments to non-CIS countries increased by 38.3% year on year.” </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased export of agricultural products and foodstuffs by 4.3% year on year in 2020 to $5.8 billion. Agricultural and food exports accounted for about 20% of Belarus’ total exports in 2020 and increased by more than 3 p.p. year on year. Belarusian food producers shipped their products to 116 countries in 2020 compared to 104 countries in 2019. End </p>
