Belarus’ agricultural exports up 10.8% in Jan-Aug 2021 $4.1 billion - Ministry of Agriculture

Belarus increased export of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials by 10.8% year on year in January-August 2021 up to $4.1 billion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus informs. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Belarusian foodstuffs were exported to 99 countries of the world. An increase in supplies was observed in almost all regions. Exports to the CIS countries, including Russia, increased by 6.3%, Asia and Oceania - up 38.8%, the EU - up 43.0%, the Americas and the Caribbean - up 61.7% and Africa –up 28.6%. Food exports to China increased by 39.7%. Overall, shipments to non-CIS countries increased by 41.7% year on year.” </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased export of agricultural products and foodstuffs by 4.3% year on year in 2020 to $5.8 billion. Agricultural and food exports accounted for about 20% of Belarus’ total exports in 2020 and increased by more than 3 p.p. year on year. Belarusian food producers shipped their products to 116 countries in 2020 compared to 104 countries in 2019. End </p>
