Belarus’ agricultural exports up 10.7% in H1 2021 $2.99 billion - Ministry of Agriculture

Belarus increased export of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials by 10.7% year on year in January-June 2021 up to $2.99 billion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus informs. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Belarusian foodstuffs were exported to 96 countries of the world. An increase in supplies was observed in almost all regions. Exports to the CIS countries, including the Russian Federation, increased by 5.5%, to Asia and Oceania - by 48.5%, the EU - 52.6%, America and the Caribbean - 85.3%, Africa - 51.0%. Food exports to China increased by 46.2%. On the whole, deliveries to non-CIS countries increased by 51.9% year on year,” reads a message on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus increased export of agricultural products and foodstuffs by 4.3% year on year in 2020 to $5.8 billion. Agricultural and food exports accounted for about 20% of Belarus’ total exports in 2020 and increased by more than 3 p.p. year on year. Belarusian food producers shipped their products to 116 countries in 2020 compared to 104 countries in 2019. End </p>
