Belarus' 2021 SSF budget surplus expected at Br300m

The budget of the State Social Security Fund (SSF) of Belarus in 2021 is planned to be executed with a surplus of Br300 million (Br118.816 million at the rate of National Bank of Belarus). The SSF budget revenues will amount to Br19.1 billion ($7.564 billion, $1/Br2.5249), including funds from the national budget (+8.9% yoy), expenditures - Br18.8 billion ($7.445 billion, +8.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> SSF Managing Director Natalia Pavlyuchenko made a statement to this effect at an extended meeting of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on December 17. </p> <p> </p> <p> In her words, about 79% of the SSF budget expenditures in 2021 will be allocated for the payment of pensions, up 9.3% yoy, BelTA informs. </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, SSF budget expenditures associated with of labour pensions will amount to Br14.5 billion ($5.742 billion), while the payment of social and other pensions - Br305 million ($120.796 million). </p> <p> </p> <p> A total of Br3.7 billion ($1.465 billion) will be allocated from the SSF budget to finance welfare benefits.
