The average nominal accrued wage in Belarus increased by 2.7% month on month in July 2021 to Br1,471.7 ($587.6 at the official rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In real terms (adjusted for the increase in consumer prices), the average grew 3.7% year on year in July 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Regionally, July’s highest average salary was in Minsk City at Вr2,062.1 ($823.3), up 1.9% month on month; the lowest average salary was traditionally seen in Mogilev Oblast at Br1,206.3 ($481.6), up 2.6% month on month. </p> <p> </p> <p> In July 2021, the average wage in manufacturing industries stood at Br1,538.1 ($614.1), up 3.1% month on month; construction – Br1,593.8 ($636.4), up 6.7%; forestry, fishery and agriculture – Br1,083.4 ($432.6), up 6.3%; retail trade – Br1,163.3 ($464.5), up 6.3%; education – Br961.9 ($384.1) down 5.9%; healthcare – Br1,321.1 ($527.5), up 0.2%. </p> <p> </p> <p> To compare, the average monthly wage in Belarus’ IT industry in July 2021 stood at Br5,873.8 ($2,400), up 2.4% month on month; banking and finance – Br2,237.7 ($893.4), up 6.9%.
