The average nominal accrued wage in Belarus increased by 0.98% month on month in Apr 2021 to Br1,398.2 ($557.2 at the official rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In real terms (adjusted for the increase in consumer prices), the average grew 7.6% year on year in Apr 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Regionally, April’s highest average salary was in Minsk City at Вr2,003.4 ($798.4), down 2.9% month on month; the lowest average salary was seen in Mogilev Oblast at Br1,118.4 ($445.7), up 1.4% month on month. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Apr 2021, the average wage in manufacturing industries stood at Br1,482.5 ($590.8), up 3.3% month on month; construction – Br1,428.5 ($569.3), up 4.3%; forestry, fishery and agriculture – Br1,020.3 ($406.6), up 6.1%; retail trade – Br1,074.7 ($428.3), up 0.6%; education – Br930.7 ($370.9) up 0.5%; healthcare – Br1,279.3 ($509.8), up 5.2%. </p> <p> </p> <p> To compare, the average monthly wage in Belarus’ IT industry in Apr 2021 stood at Br6,010.3 ($2,395), down 17.7% month on month; banking and finance – Br2,195.8 ($875.1), up 2.5%.
