Amkodor plans to open farming machinery production, service centre in Russia’s Leningrad Region
<p> MINSK, Aug 3 - PrimePress. Belarus’ Amkodor, the core company at Amkodor Group, intends to establish agricultural machinery production, a sales and maintenance service centre in Gatchina, Leningrad Region (Russian Federation). Amkodor released this information following a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of Directors Alexander Shakutin and Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko. </p> <p> </p> <p> Amkodor’ press service would not provide further details of the project. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Drozdenko, Leningrad Region “will assist in ensuring the future production facilities with the necessary infrastructure”. </p> <p> </p> <p> If the project is implemented, the production facility in Gatchina will be Amkodor’s third enterprise in Russia. At present Amkodor-Onego Ltd in Petrozavodsk (Karelia), which manufactures forestry machinery, and OOO Amkodor-Bryansk, the producer of front and universal loaders, snow ploughs and other AMKODOR machinery, are operating in Russia. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 1927, Amkodor is one of the CIS’ and Europe’s largest manufacturers of road construction vehicles, utility machinery, snow-removing, timber industry, agricultural machines and other special vehicles. The product range includes over 80 models and modifications. Amkodor vehicles are used in more than 30 countries across the globe.
