A1 raises tariffs for telecom services 3.06%-4% Nov 4

A1, Belarusian provider of telecom, ICT and content services, on Nov 4, 2020, will raise by 3.06%-4% subscription fees for communication services, as well as tariffs for outgoing calls to domestic numbers, international calls, mobile Internet included in the monthly subscription fee and surplus Internet traffic, SMS and MMS for individuals and legal entities. </p> <p> </p> <p> The tariff adjustment will also affect roaming services and additional mobile Internet packages, voice call and SMS packages, other additional services, the subscription fee for some archival fixed communication tariff plans for individuals, some tariff plans for fixed communication for legal entities, cable television services. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, starting November 1, 2020 Belarus’ telecom operator and provider of digital services MTS raises tariffs for basic cellular communication services by 4%. </p> <p> </p> <p> A1 (velcom until August 2019) was established in 1998.The company began commercial operations on April 16, 1999. At present, A1 Telekom Austria Group owns 100% of the company. The operator began commercial operation of the 3G network (HSPA and HSPA+) in March 2010, and has been providing 4G services since March 2019.
