Minsk Motor Plant intends to double sales of special-purpose vehicles in 2021 to over 500 units
MINSK, Jul 13 - PrimePress. The Minsk Motor Plant Managing Company OJSC (MMZ) intends to double sales of special-purpose vehicles in 2021 on the domestic and foreign markets to over 500 units, the company reports.<br> <br> Sales of special-purpose vehicles increased in January-June 2021 by 50% year on year to over 170 units.<br> <br> Special vehicles were mainly exported to Russia through the MMZ Trading House in Noginsk and regional dealers in Moscow, Moscow Region, Samara and Penza.<br> <br> 120 kW diesel generator sets for agricultural enterprises of the Brest Oblast accounted for a large part of sales in Belarus.<br> <br> The Minsk Motor Plant was established in 1963, and transformed into OJSC in late 2008. All shares are held by the state. On November 20, 2012, the Minsk Motor Plant OJSC was reorganized into the Minsk Motor Plant Managing Company OJSC after its registration. The Holding also includes Experimental Technological Equipment Plant JSC (Minsk), Gomel Starter Engine Plant JSC, Zhitkovichi Motor Plant JSC (Gomel Oblast), a branch in Stolbtsy, and Lida Foundry and Mechanical Plant JSC (Grodno Oblast).
