The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) suggests setting the zero customs duty for some types of laminated particleboard, chipboard, and fiberboard till December 31, 2025, as per draft resolution posted on the Legal Portal of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).<br> <br> Currently, the import duty ranges from 5% to 8% of the customs value.<br> <br> The resolution was drafted at the suggestion of Kazakhstan to make up for the shortfall of these goods on the domestic market and support furniture enterprises.<br> <br> The draft is put up for public discussion until August 1, 2021.
