BMZ boosts sales by 40% in Jan-Jun 2021 to $847m

Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ)–Management Company of the Belarusian Metallurgical Company Holding (Zhlobin, Gomel Oblast) increased sales in January-June 2021 by 40% year on year to $847 million, including exports by 41% to $676m, BMZ First VICE CEO Anatoly Volkov told reporters. </p> <p> According to Volkov, in January-June 2021, BMZ supplied products to 48 countries. A little over a half of products were sold in Europe, 25% in the Russian Federation. Africa and the Middle East accounted for 8.5% each. </p> <p> BMZ supplies steel cord, pipes and valves to the European market. </p> <p> The company increased steel output in January-June 2021 by 1.8% year on year to 1.27 million tonnes; pipes – by 35%; metal goods – by 27%. </p> <p> The Belarusian Steel Works was put into operation in 1984, and transformed into OJSC BMZ-Managing Company of the Belarusian Metallurgical Company Holding in 2012. The state holds 100% of company’s shares. BMZ is engaged in steelmaking, rolling and pipe and hardware production. The company supplies products to the domestic and foreign markets. End </p>
