Belarus’ retail sales up 0.01% on yr in Jan-Jun 2021 to Br27.9bn
MINSK, Jul 16 – PrimePress. Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 0.01% on the year in January-June 2021 to Br27.9 billion ($10.97 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report.<br> <br> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Jun 2021 stood at Br16.4 ($6.45) to compare with Br14.9 ($5.86) in Jan-Jun 2020.<br> <br> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 92.2%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (7.8%).<br> <br> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 0.8% in Jan-Jun 2021 to Br25.7 billion ($10.1bn).<br> <br> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew by 1.8% year on year in 2020 to Br53.1 billion ($20.87bn).
