Belarus’ Agriculture Ministry includes 32 investment projects in 2021-2025 Agrarian Business program

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus has put 32 investment projects on the list of promising and significant investment projects to be executed in 2021-2025 under the Agrarian Business government program, as per Agriculture Ministry’s resolution No.28 of May 13, 2021 posted on its website. <br> <br> According to the resolution, 16 projects are planned for the Vitebsk Oblast, 10 projects for the Minsk Oblast, two for the Brest and Gomel Oblasts each, and one for the Grodno and Mogilev Oblasts each. <br> <br> The Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm JSC is implementing six projects, including the construction of a broiler plant and a slaughterhouse to produce and process beef in the Vitebsk Oblast, as well as reconstruction of several production facilities. <br> <br> Vitebskmyasomolprom OJSC plans to finish the construction of a pig farm (5,000 sow head) before 2022 and a granary in the Orsha District. In 2021, Vitebsk Bacon unitary enterprise will finish the construction of a pig farm (5,000 head per year). The Tolochin cannery will build a potato storage, 12,000 tonnes in capacity, in 2021-2022. <br> <br> Dzerzhinsky Agrocomplex JSC (Minsk Oblast) is executing six projects, including on production of 6,000 tonnes of turkey meat per year in 2021-2022.<br> <br> The list also includes a project of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation to set up high-tech agro-industrial full-cycle production in the Pukhovichi District (Minsk Oblast) before 2032. <br> <br> As previously reported, the 2021-2025 Agrarian Business program was approved by government resolution No.59 of February 1, 2021. The program cost is estimated at Br284.135 billion rubles ($110.37 billion at the rate of National Bank of Belarus). End<br> <br>
