A1 upgrades 3G network in UMTS-900 band by installing multibeam antennas

A1 - Belarus’ provider of telecommunications, ICT and content services -

is implementing a project aimed to increase the capacity of its 3G network in UMTS-900 range by installing multibeam antennas, which will make it possible to increase the network capacity (and the data transmission speed) by 2-3 times, the operator’s press service reports.

“The use of multibeam radio antennas is not a new practice for A1: the company actively uses it when building its 3G network in the 2100 MHz band.
