A1 reports 9.5% decrease in proceeds in 1H21 to €188.1m

Proceeds of Belarusian cell communication company A1 (Telekom Austria Group) decreased by 9.5% year on year in the 1st half of 2020 to €188.1 million, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in a quarterly report. <br> <br> The operator’s total earnings in Q2 2021 alone were down 2.7% year on year to €95.7 million.<br> <br> Revenues from the sale of services in 1H21 totaled €138.1 million (down 8.3% yoy). In 2Q21 alone, they amounted to €70.5 million (down 2.8% yoy).<br> <br> The operator’s revenues from fixed access services in 1H21 decreased by 2% to €23.6 million (€12.2 million in the 2nd quarter of the year, down 7.5%). <br> <br> EBITDA was down 6% in 1H21 to €87.1 million (€45m in Q2, down 0.2%). <br> <br> The number of subscribers increased by 1.5% in annual terms in 1H21 4.935 million.<br> <br> Separately, Telekom Austria Group specifies the number of customers using fixed line services – 660,800 subscribers (up 8.9% year on year), including fixed broadband access users – 261,300 (up 13.7%).<br> <br> Established in 1998, A1 unitary enterprise is now fully owned by A1 Telekom Austria Group. The mobile operator A1 started revenue service of its 3G network based on the HSPA/HSPA+ technology in March 2010. The operator made 4G mobile internet services available to customers in March 2019. The operator’s revenues from fixed access services in 1H21 decreased by 2% to €23.6 million (€12.2 million in the 2nd quarter of the year, down 7.5%).
EBITDA was down 6% in 1H21 to €87.1 million (€45m in Q2, down 0.2%).
The number of subscribers increased by 1.5% in annual terms in 1H21 4.935 million.
