A1 reports 1.7% decrease in proceeds in Jan-Sep 2020 to €306.9m

Proceeds of Belarusian cell communication company A1 (Telekom Austria Group) decreased by 1.7% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to €306.9 million, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in a quarterly report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The operator’s total earnings in Q3 2020 were down 12.6% year on year to €99 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from the sale of services in Jan-Sep 2020 totaled €219.5 million (down 7.1% yoy). In 3Q20 alone, they amounted to €68.9 million (down 18.9% yoy). </p> <p> </p> <p> The operator’s revenues from fixed access services in Jan-Sep 2020 decreased by 3% to €34 million (€10.9 million in the third quarter of the year, down 13.1%). </p> <p> </p> <p> EBITDA was down 3.3% in Jan-Sep 2020 to €136.5 million (€43.9m in Q3, down 13.6%). </p> <p> </p> <p> A1’s ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) in Jan-Sep 2020 was at €4.2 to compare with €4.6 in Jan-Sep 2019; MOU (minutes of use) – 528.3 minutes (478.3 minutes in Jan-Sep 2019). </p> <p> </p> <p> A1 saw the number of subscribers increased by 0.1% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to 4.882 million: contract subscribers – up 1.9% to 4.167 million, pre-paid users – down 9.1% to 715,400. </p> <p> </p> <p> Separately, Telekom Austria Group specifies the number of customers using fixed line services – 613,600 subscribers (down 0.8% year on year), including fixed broadband access users – 233,200 (up 1.9%), cable TV users – 377,900 (down 2.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> A1 (velcom until August 2019) was established in 1998.The company began commercial operations on April 16, 1999. At present, A1 Telekom Austria Group owns 100% of the company.
