A1 lowers price of voice roaming in Russia Nov 1, 2020, offers 1Gbyte data roaming package for Br5.9 per month

A1, Belarusian provider of telecom, ICT and content services, will lower on November 1, 2020 the price of voice roaming in Russian mobile operators’ networks, and will offer a 1 Gigabyte data roaming package for Br5.9 ($2.32 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per month, the company reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> Fr om November 1, an outgoing call to Belarus fr om Russia will cost Br0.268 ($0.11); local call – Br0.8 ($0.31) per minute; incoming call – Br0.113 ($0.04); outgoing text message – Br0.065 ($0.02). </p> <p> </p> <p> Voice roaming and text messages will be billed at the new tariffs automatically regardless of the tariff package. This also applies to networks of Russian operators that service A1 subscribers. </p> <p> </p> <p> The 1 Gigabyte data roaming package in Russian networks (MTS, Beeline, Megafon and Tele2) will be available to A1 subscribers to the Comfort S, Comfort M, Comfort L, Comfort XL and No Lim it packages, and the Business Plan tariffs. The price of 1 MB of traffic in excess of the package lim it is set at Br0.01 ($0.004) per each 1 Kbyte. </p> <p> </p> <p> Earlier, Belarusian telecom operators MTS (Mobile TeleSystems JLLC) and life:) (BeST CJSC) announced lower tariffs for voice roaming in Russia from November 1, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 1998, A1 unitary enterprise is now fully owned by A1 Telekom Austria Group. The mobile operator A1 started revenue service of its 3G network based on the HSPA/HSPA+ technology in March 2010. The operator made 4G mobile internet services available to customers in March 2019.
