BUCE to pay exchange charges, upfront sums and settle accounts under exchange contracts in Chinese yuan
MINSK, Jul 8 - PrimePress. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) will soon be able to pay exchange charges, upfront sums and settle accounts under exchange contracts in Chinese yuan, the BUCE press office reports.<br> <br> Currently, only Belarusian and Russian rubles, euros and U.S. dollars are used. Payments in CNY will begin because of a significant increase in the number of stock exchange transactions made by Chinese companies.<br> <br> BUCE has accredited 45 Chinese companies, over a half of which regularly participate in trading. Special trading sessions on sawn timber sales to China are held once in 2 weeks, which contributes to growth of trade turnover with China. According to BUCE, trade turnover with China in January-June 2021 stood at $25.6 million compared with $13.4 million in entire 2020.<br> <br> The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC was established in 2004. The first auction took place on June 2, 2005. BUCE has accredited 26,254 companies, including brokers’ clients and 5,218 non-residents. End<br> <br>
