The United Kingdom (UK) on June 21 imposed sanctions against 11 individuals and two entities of Belarus after the Ryanair plane incident, as well as in response to human rights violations and suppression of democracy. This is stated in an official statement of the British Foreign Office. </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, the sanctions are imposed on the UK-registered BNK Ltd, a subsidiary of Belarus’ designated export trader in oil products BelOil, Belaeronavigatsia, Belarusian Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin, Minister of Transport and Communications Alexei Avramenko, Air Force and Air Defence Commander Igor Golub and his deputy Andrei Gurtsevich, Belaeronavigatsia CEO Leonid Churo. </p> <p> </p> <p> The United Kingdom has introduced sanctions against Belarus in coordination with the EU, the United States and Canada.
