Union State Supreme Council to consider wide range of issues of Belarus-Russia cooperation on Nov 4
<p> MINSK, Nov 3 - PrimePress. The Supreme State Council (SSC) of the Union State will convene on 4 November 2021 to discuss a wide range of issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation. The session will be held via video conference, reads a message posed on the website of the SSC Standing Committee. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The agenda for the meeting covers a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including main areas of implementation of the provisions of the Treaty establishing the Union State for 2021-2023; results of trade and economic cooperation in 2020 and January-June 2021; the Concept of the Union State’s migration policy; 2021 Union State awards in science and technology; other issues,” the message says. </p> <p> </p> <p> The press service of the Russian president also reported that during the meeting of the Supreme State Council a package of important integration documents is planned to be approved: Main avenues of implementing the provisions of the Union State Treaty for 2021-2023, which include 28 sectoral union programmes, the updated Military Doctrine and the Concept of the Union State’s migration policy. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, at a meeting in Moscow on 9 September 2021, reconciled all 28 union programmes to deepen integration between the two countries. On 10 Sep 2021 the Council of Ministers of the Union State approved the 2021-2023 guidelines for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State and 28 Union State programmes aimed to accomplish major aspects of strengthening Russia-Belarus integration.
