Ukraine slaps anti-dumping duties on plywood, chipboard and potato starch imported from Belarus

On 22 December 2021, the Interdepartmental Commission for International Trade of the Ministry of Economy Development of Ukraine (Ministry of Economy), based on the results of anti-dumping investigations, has decided to apply anti-dumping measures for a period of five years against plywood, chipboard and potato starch imported to Ukraine from Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the press service of the Ukrainian Economy Ministry, the customs duty rate for the manufacturer-exporter Fandok will be 25.71% of the customs duty, for the manufacturer-exporter Mostovdrev - 25.71%, for the manufacturer-exporter Borisovdrev - 25.71%, for other manufacturers and exporters from Belarus - 41.35%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The rate of customs duty on Belarusian chipboard for producers and exporters from Belarus is set at 45.14%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The rate of duty for producers and exporters of potato starch from Belarus is set at 23.8%. </p> <p> </p> <p> In addition, the commission decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into imports into Ukraine of glassware originating in Belarus and a special investigation into imports into Ukraine of certain types of cheese, regardless of the country of origin or export.
